Blog Challenge - Day 20 - 23

Day 20| Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future...
Shoot, I wish I could show you that person, but I don't really know. Essentially in life - all I really need is an honest man who really loves me, works hard to provide for his household, and holds similar interests and ideals to myself. That's all we can really ask for nowadays. I have learned from my past love lives that the key is taking it slow. "It's all about the journey," the destination is never guaranteed...

Day 21| A picture of something that makes you happy...

Chocolate! My guilty indulgence. It literally changes my mood.  I know I shouldn't let something have that much power over me, but in all honesty - I control it...

My baby, Shelby.
I can't believe she's a year old already, and a mother at that. She birthed some beautiful puppies, and I can't wait to get her back home and on my running route again. I love her!

Day 22| What makes you different from everyone else...
Probably the fact that I don't think about that. I do what I feel, respectfully so. I'm outgoing, I'm shy, I love art - I envy people who sleep. I try to be productive at all times, even when I'm on vacation. I strive to be myself. I just do things my way. So, that answer I say - you tell me...

Day 23| Something you crave for a lot...

((Giggle))...

Thoughts In My Head...

Sometimes I wonder if the friendship we shared was ever genuine. Guess I'll never know.

While I'm at work, I secretly imagine strange things happening to my evil customers.
Like - an ACME hole appearing on the floor , just for them.

I really like him. Taking my time on the journey... #)

IF I COLOR MY HAIR RED ONE. MORE. TIME. and it washes out...

Where do I REALLY want to be?

Homework sucks.

If every man danced like Chris Brown - there would be no panties in the world.

Fabolous VS Ray J - Round One

Apparently, Mayweather and Ortiz weren't the only heavy hitters out this weekend. Numerous people tweeted seeing Fab and Ray J in a scuffle in Vegas. While I have yet to see anything from Fab's camp on the matter - Ray J's people have wasted no time jumping into the limelight. Ray J isn't known for being a gangsta in the music world, but then again - fab isn't known for being a punk. Only time will tell how far this goes...

Don’t disrespect me. I will smack you up again fool! N*ggas said Ray J got beat up? I socked that n**ga in the face. All I have to say is if you have Fab’s number, tell him to send a picture of his face right now.
Don’t disrespect me and Floyd like that. I play piano on that muthaf*cking piano every day. That’s my big bro. We grew up together. So if you think I just came over there and sang a song, you got me muthaf**kin twisted. I’m with the money team right now. He’s running from me.
When I seen him, I was with Floyd and 50 and that n*gga said ‘Don’t Touch Me’, and I touched that n***a.
These n*ggas think I sing songs and run around here and do dances and sh*t, I don’t play them games man.
I got three new Rolls Royces outside and I’m tired of being humble with n*ggas and I’m tired of being low key. Now, I’m about to pull my muthaf*cking whips out, I’m about to show ya’ll what my cribs look like and I’m about to roll with my n*ggas and smack n*ggas up that’s talking sh*t!!

Listen to the audio for yourself...

Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them

Day 19|| Nicknames you have; why do you have them

Kimi - Over the years, I have had people butcher my names severely. Kuhmani, Kumonmi (this on had to be a joke), Keeehmani, Kamini. You name it, I've heard it. Kimi is Ki-ma-ni, minus a few letters. I can dig it.

Kim/Kimmy - My closest friends and family are the only ones who call me by these names. Yes, there is a difference between Kimi and Kimmy. If you've ever heard an Island person say Kimmy, you know what I mean.

Buffie - a nickname I earned from my, err - large assets...

Oddly enough - I had an interesting encounter with a customer last week because of my name...

Puerto Rico 2011 Day One...

Despite the fact that I've taken numerous trips this summer, it felt awesome to leave the country finally. As my last major trip of the season - I had to soak up all the sights. Old San Juan did not disappoint...

The Taxi Ride...
Old San Juan

I have a strange obsession for taking pictures with doors and the sun. I just feel like they give us the option to go anywhere we desire. Sky's the limit...

Old San Juan is so low tech, it's amazing. While they have major US stores like Marshalls and Rainbow - the town keeps everything vintage and old-world. It is beautiful.
Pernil Asado con Tostones...

Mofongo con Langosta

We, of course made sure we found a local spot to eat, for our Latin favorites...

Mami...
Ironically, OSJ has quite a few American fast  food spots. You know we walked right past those.

Overcoming My FEAR.

Put God First...

Mami Y Yo...

Mom and I watched this fraidy cat dog get into it with this kitty. The cat wouldn't back down, so the dog's owner called him to retreat. We called it "The Puerto Rican Standoff."

No more locked doors...

My best shot of el sol.

Day one was definitely memorable...

Blog Challenge - Day 16-18...

Day 16|| Another picture of yourself...
Where I wanna be in life. Happy and stress free...

Day 17|| Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why...
I'd never want to switch with anyone, simply because no one's life is perfect. Might mess around and find out Beyonce has a horrible itch she can't scratch, or the President has incurably bad breath. But - if I could spend the day with someone and get into their mind...

Aaliyah Haughton
I'm just curious about her thoughts in life; how she transitioned from singing to acting when it wasn't a popular thing to do. The REAL story on her and R. Kelly. And why she decided to get on that plane...

OR...

Pharell Williams

My business/fashion/musical icon - Pharell. I'd love to see his day from when he rolls out of bed, to when he lays his head down to rest. He has managed to break into the mainstream of multiple industries and be successful in each. His music touches international stages, and not to mention he never seems to age! Black is beautiful...

Day 18|| Plans/dreams/goals you have...

- Work for myself -
- get into my career (finally)-
- Allow my family to work less -
- travel the world-
- overcome my fear of statues -
- visit Japan -
-achieve my fitness goals -
-help (at least)one person achieve a goal of theirs-
- have a large family-
- be happy -

Just gotta make it...

Y Que Viva Puerto Rico

Come tomorrow, I will be enjoying the Old San Juan breeze, with a nice glass of something in one hand, and a pastelita in the other. It's gonna be beautiful. No phone, no internet. Just the sand between our toes and the music in the air...

Blog Challenge Day 14&15

Day 14|| A picture of you and your family...
LittleBrother - he's gone through so much over the past year. I'm just glad to be able to help him through whatever happens. I love you!

My Littles - I love them so! BabyBoy isn't in the picture because he was away for the summer, but I am so proud of my siblings. They have grown so beautifully and LittleSister is becoming such a wonderful big sister. Still hard to believe I used to cradle her to sleep and put her hand on my throat so she could feel me sing. My little deaf baby has become a brilliant little ten year old...

UncleDelly - my favorite uncle in the world (shhh). He understands, he listens - he gives constructive advice. He sees the good in people, and that must be the God in him...

My LittleCousins  - the next generation to come up. They have a lot of opportunities ahead of them - and I hope that we've set good examples and allowed them to learn from our mistakes. Each of them is beautiful, intelligent and talented. Proud of you, girls!

Ma Duke (in the middle) - I'd do anything for her. She is truly my best friend. Can't wait for Puerto Rico tomorrow. Con Dios adelante!

CousinJan - my two-day apart twin. Realest chick I know. And  I love her for it. Been through a lot together, and we'll keep going...

CousinJin (The Midget) - I miss her so! One of the few people I know who isn't afraid to act a fool with me - no matter where, when or why. Can't wait til you guys get down here!

Roc La Familia...
