Kendrick Lamar feat. Drake - "Poetic Justice" ((Video))

One of my favorite songs on the album, Kendrick continues his storytelling with the Poetic Justice video. Sherane is definitely getting around, and clearly she lives for the thrill. Lol, who doesn't mess with Drake?

One time for Compton's Love Child!

The Weeknd - Twenty Eight

Abel is gorgeous. That is all.

The Weeknd feat. Drake - "The Zone" ((Video))

I stalked him all night for this video, and ironically the Starbucks Frapp I drank to stay awake wore off half hour before. It doesn't lose any importance based off that. In his directoral debut as a mainstream artist, Abel did an awesome job on this video. Clearly, die hard fans will know the references in the song; House of Balloons, the hairstyle from the Thursday artwork, etc.  I noticed a few changes in the song arrangement, but I'll continue to play the original versions until Trilogy comes out this week. Despite his up and coming mainstream success, I am still a hardcore Weeknd fan. He already told us the industry may try to change him, but I believe he'll stay true to what we know - for now. In the meantime, we'll stay by his side. We'll love him, until they all love him...

Miguel - "Pssy is Mine" ((Video))

I walk around the house slowly as this song plays. Just a t-shirt and socks. Feels so, sexy. The lyrics come from such a genuine place that many of us can relate to. I digress tho...

"So lie to me
lie to me lie to me so sweet
cause I don’t ever want to imagine
all the other ni—s like me, ever had a chance to get in your pants
so tell me that, that p—sy is mine, yeah
tell me tell me baby that its all mine
tell me that that —sy is mine ooh cause I don’t wanna believe that anyone is just like me”

The Weeknd - "Wicked Games" ((Official Video))

One of my favorite Weeknd songs, it gets me slow dancing with my chair no matter where I am. The beat is so strong, yet seductive and filled with pain. Abel's voice floats over it so eloquently, don't you just wanna touch yourself? You don't have to admit it, it's cool...

Anyway, it's only at 118 views so far - consider yourself one of the first people to see it. Enjoy the great use of shadows and simple symmetry. Makes it all the more Weeknd.

August/ September CurlBox Review Video

I haven't done a good review video/post since I started subscribing to CurlBox four months ago - so I figured today was as good a time as any. Pics are to follow :)

Little knots!! :(

Like I said, the knots I think were my fault. I didn't even comb through my hair last night since I wasn't home and prepared to do my hair.

Major shrinkage :-/

I had a lot of shrinkage this morning, but that's a common problem for me. It hasn't shrunken since it dried - so I think the Carol's Daughter helped a lot in that segment. I'll comb it through next time for better results.

Miguel - "Do You" ((Video))

I think Miguel is the heir to Prince's throne. Like, seriously. His melodies, his fashion - even his hair is reminiscent of Purple Rain. Anyway, I could go on for days - watch the video. I love happy date videos :)

Miguel - Arch & Point ((Official Video))

I've been following Miguel since I fell in love with J. Cole's "All I Want Is You" track. His tone, his rifts were so different yet on point. After that day I was all over YouTube, downloading any single I could get my hands on. I must say, he has evolved so much since then; constantly perfecting his live voice, studio skills, instrument choices and composition. I am musically in love with him right now - and he's on a streak. I love when the indie underdog comes out on top, he's definitely one of them.

The Art Dealer Chic EP is on fire in my car right now, Vol 2 has this track called Arch & Point that has to be the sickest song I've heard in weeks. It's extremely suggestive, but not raunchy. Even the video is an abstract sexual encounter.

The lyrics are under the video.

Something for you to sway to...

Miguel - "Arch & Point"...

Arch And Point

Yeah
Black leather skirt and a leopard print shirt, whoa
We can skip dinner, headed straight for desert whoa oho
But when it feels so good then it comes natural
Baby arch your back, and point your toes

Ballerina smart, but your sex like art woaoh
See rhythm is a talent it can not be a taught whoa oho ohh
When it feels so good then it just comes natural
Baby arch your back and point your toes
Oh, you see I don't suppose
Mhm, that every good girl know
No, oh oh what every bad girl knows
So baby arch your back and point your toes yeah

Fishnet body suit birthday cake, whoa
Fetish is a pleasure that cannot be faked whoa, oh
But when it feels this good then it just comes natural
Baby arch your back and point your toes

Oh, polaroid flash baby anything goes
Feel it all don't keep your eyes closed
Cause when it feel this good babe it just come natural
Baby arch your-

You know I don't suppose
Oh that every good girl knows (Yeah)
Only every bad girl knows (Yeah)
Say arch go back and point your toes yeah
Mhm, mhm
Baby arch your back, and point your toes

Frank Ocean - "Pyramids" feat. John Mayer - ((Official Video))

The infamous Mr. Ocean is back - and this video (produced by Nabil) didn't disappoint. The abstract concept leaves much to decipher - with special emphasis on the pyramidal diagram in neon lights at the end. This is definitely worth a triple take, and is added to the repertoire of quality work by Frank Ocean. Love him! Frank Ocean feat. John Mayer - "Pyramids"...
