Death To All Fakes!

So, Alyster and I hit up the Swap Shop yesterday on our annual Florida excursion. We were on the search for grinders and stun guns - and stumbled upon a little "shop" selling Jordans and Nike's - of course, we had to stop and take a peek. 


As expected - the kicks were fraudulent. 


We managed to sneak a few shots as the store vendor watched us pretend to be intrigued by his selection. I was intrigued by the fact that someone was actually buying the sneakers while we were there. 


To the naked eye, many people wouldn't even notice the subtle flaws in the sneaker design. But us aficionados have a sixth sense and a keen sight for these things. Peep game... 

 The "Nike" embroidery is very suspect on these Blazers. If you check out the tutorial, you'll see that the stitching is definitely off from the official embroidery.

We clearly have an example of Fake #1. The font is extremely thin, and slanted at an odd angle. Cover that with some jeans and they'd be none the wiser - but that's a no-no in the sneaker book!

The photos won't show you that it's not real suede material - but it's not... 

Peep the blazers, Spiz'Ike's - fakes galore! 

So, we giggled about the sneakers for a while; inspecting them as we went along, and the vendor got upset. He walks over and states, "These are not fake. All these sneakers are real!" Further confirming that they were frauds. All we kept saying the whole time was, "These are hot - I wonder if they have my size," and "Damn, these ain't even come out in NY yet." Lol - I guess he felt insecure about his sneaker selection. 

As fake as they were - the insoles on these Spiz'Ike's were hot... 

Shoppers beware - while the quality of fakes are improving slightly, their methods are not. If you get caught slippin - you will still get clowned!
