You ever see something bad happening and turn the other cheek? Or wish you had done something to help another person - but you didn't?
What would you do in this situation?
I remember watching a boy get robbed in high school - by two boys I knew. I watched them struggle for quite some time before I walked out and told them to quit. The poor little Indian boy, even though he was shaken - managed to leave school with his wallet that day. Could you imagine what could have been in there? Rent money? A deposit for his family's small business? Five dollars? Life is crazy like that. How easily we can control someone else's destiny just by making a small effort.
That European man made me want to cry. His concern was sincere. We do die every year from foolishness. Drunk driving, rape and murder - suicide. All we really need is that one person to look out for us, just one time - to make a difference.
Who will you help today?
