What a night! Not only did we stalk our tickets from them minute they went on sale - but we got to the concert two hours early, thinking that was ample time. WRONG. The line was bananas!
All our feet were killing us by the time we got inside, but we had prime real estate on the side balcony. Abel Tesfaye had us waiting for two hours - but when he came on stage, he did not disappoint. Live band, great guitarists and drummer. Not to mention his vocals were on point. I was so proud of him!
We sang our hearts out, I still have no voice. We officially made CousinJin a believer last night.
Top: Forever 21 Catsuit: American Apparel Shoes: Penny Loves Kenny Wristlet: Coach... I know y'all like those outfit pics, lol.
The Weeknd is a true performer - you can tell he leaves it all on the stage. To sing falsetto for most of the show takes balls, and he used his cojones. It was beautiful to watch his shyness onstage; how he twiddled his fingers and twisted all around - then when the beat dropped; he went in. Got us all hot and bothered, screamed "I love you, Florida!!" and ran off. People started filing out, disappointed - the young man ran back out and did a second set. Dirty Diana closed out the show, and we all left wet and sweaty. This is how a concert should be.
Crew Love: Shoutout to the White Boy who screamed out "Room full of niggas" with such joy, lol. Yes, that is me trying to harmonize with hundreds of people, smh.
A lovely show - and now for our next conquest:
Frank Ocean. *Squeal!!* We'll be so early!!
