Summer Music: Rufus Blaq...

The name probably rings a bell - that's because he's produced music for so many of our favorite artists like Missy Elliot, Faith Evans, Day 26. It's possible you've NEVER heard of him before - since he's ghost written for big names that you swear write their own 'ish. Not only is he sick with the pen, but he has incredible vocal skills and is a true lyricist. I have the privilege of being friends with this musical wonder, and his re-emergence has been long overdue.

"Electric Pretty" is his newest endeavor; bringing a fresh new approach to familiar Hip-Hop beats and a melodic voice over each track. His cover of Jay-Z's "Thank You" is an ode to NY, and brings me back to summers in the Bronx.

Tichina Arnold speaks about Rufus on the Mo'Nique Show:

I'm really diggin' this album; definitely a good listen and rides good in the car.
He puts his all into the music, and it loves him back. Take a listen, and enjoy.
